A while back, I was just cruising the Net when I get an IM from a woman who says she's seen me from Blackplanet. She goes on to tell me that she was also a displaced Katrina evacuee who has gone back to her home or Ghana or somewhere in nrthwestern Africa. I was sorry to hear that this disaster put heer so far out of her way, so I offered my apologies. She then was telling me how she was liking my profile and proceeded to try to get to know me better. She had no profile of her own, but she had a Yahoo buddy icon with the picture of a pretty black woman. Things were going so-so when she tells me she has a birthday coming up in a couple months, and that I should get her a birthday present. I knew in my mind I was like "get the f' outta here", but I decided to play along and asked what she wanted. She replied that I should give her $500 to fund her trip to N.O., I think. By now, I know the chick is on drugs, but I continued to play along. I say that since my birthday had passed already (which it had), she should give ME $500 and I'd give her $500 back. She insisted that I give her $500 first and I would get mine on the back end. By now, the joke is over and I tell the nut that she's on crack and proceed to try to converse on a normal level. Wrong move. This person seemed humanly incapable of getting off of this $500 scam. "Are you going to give me what I want or not?," she pestered. I start ignoring her, but it was as if I was playing hard to get. An hour went by, and I'm still receiving "why not?" IM's. I get offline after a while. I log back on a couple days later, guess who IM's me. "Good afternoon. Are you gonna give me the money now?" This person was reaching "aggravating bitch" status quickly, so I blocked her and have not heard from her since. You sheisters who are about those Internet scams can suck a fat one. That is all...
