So, yesterday, I went to the video shoot for Gotty Boi Chris' song, "Cut It Up" at a club called Ceasar's Place. It was my first video shoot, and I had many expectations. I thought it would be crowded, all over the place, and one big block party. Some things I was wrong about, some things I was right about. It was NOT this big party-fest. It was the main performers, some dancing extras, record label members, on-lookers, and promoters. I was amazed that they fed us (red beans and rice, jambalaya, crawfish pasta, BBQ meatballs, etc., though they made us pay for drinks), so that was wonderful. Of course, they lip-synched as they were taping (you'd be surprised as to how many people DON'T know that), and it was nice seeing the filming process. I got a change to talk to and take pictures with some of the local "celebrities":
Shyne, CEO of Blackhouse Entertainment
Gotty Boi Chris
Dyverse of Bigg Face Records
Lucky, CEO of Bigg Face Records
Mr. Ceasar, owner of Caesar's Place
10th Ward Buck
Young Kris of the Block Burnaz
Gotty Boi Chris and Deja Vu
Big Choo and his cousin, a professional boxer (Big Choo on right)
Dyme Girl Drell
Deja Vu
Baby Boy
DJ K-Real
Peacachoo
All in all, it was fun. Tiring and hot, but fun.

Edit: Most people are wondering why I'm not smiling. RAPPERS DON'T SMILE!! lol. Really though, I had a blast just being there, taking the whole experience in. I would greatly recommend everyone attend a video shoot if they can.
