Okay, I saw a load of CROCKERY on Judge Judy. Here it goes:

A guy decides he and his buddies wanna go crank calling people (what a joy, eh). One time, he happens upon this woman who has a husband who is currently "enduring freedom" in Iraq. As in typical assholish behavior, the guy begins to goad the woman, including comments about her husband, saying "I hope he dies out in Iraq and the US can't find his body so he can't be buried here!" I mean, insensitivity in vocal form. This ass continues to harague the woman through tears and wails, and they hang the phone up. After all, it's just harmless fun, right?

WRONG. The woman informs her burly, heavy-set father about the event. Thanks to the wonders of caller ID, the father is able to do a reverse trace on the phone number and get the guy's address. He proceeds to go to the house, lock the guy in a room alone with him, and he BEATS THE LIVING HELL OUT OF HIM! The guy suffers a ton of injuries and is hospitalized.

What makes this story crockery? The fact that the crank caller wanted to sue the father for $5,000. His hospital bills? All of $2,000. he wanted $3,000 for pain and suffering! That's right! Someone who deliberately tortured the hell out of that poor woman wanted 1.5 times his medical bills for getting what he deserved.

The law said that the dad HAD to pay the bills, which I agree with. The P&S, he got ZERO! Like the judge said, the innocent woman did NOTHING to prompt his actions, and SHE didn't press charges at all!!

After the judge ordered him (dad) to pay $2,000, in the post-court interview, he said "I won't prank call anymore. You live , you learn."

Yea, stupid ass...
