I Got a Name

Jim Croce told us back in '73 that he had a name. In that same fashion, I am saying in 2006 that I, you, we all have a name. If we all have a name and you may know my name, why are we addressing people as "hey you"? Who is "you"? I believe that addressing someone as "hey you" is quite offensive, whether you know them or not. My name is Brandon. If saying "hello Brandon" is not your thing, try a simple "hello", I won't bite. Maybe Elaine Benes was right. Maybe everyone should have name tags on, so you can greet people by name without having the excuse of not knowing their name. Yea, calling me "nigga" and "you" is definitely out in 2006.
