Rainy Night in Georgia

Jarkish men pepper themselves in your life
Screwing you over at every turn, your loss
Those closest to you are the most distant
You yearn and burn for relief and sanctuary
Someone who's more than a cute, pretty cover
A story with substance, someone worthwhile
And they enter in, smooth and sophisticated
And you treat him wonderfully from far off
In your heart, you see you can't handle it
So, you fight them off when they draw near
Offering no plea or apology, screwing them
Becoming your cuddle bitch, emotional doormat
Then, when D-Day comes, they can take no more
Your fuckery has pushed them away forever
You see yourself stuck with just the losers
And out come the crocodile tears of sorrow
Aching for an opportunity to repent to them
Wanting that good company back into your life
But it's too late, they are gone, and you sit
Tears pouring down, a rainy night in Georgia
