Leave It Alone

Missing you, wanting you, needing you always
Your hugs are are now but a fleeting memory
Your kisses locked in the shrine of my mind
You are nothing short of a queen on a throne
And as much as I want it, I gotta leave it alone

What I did do is overshadowed by what I didn't
Never you, it was something I had to deal with
I was so proud of loving you, finding sanctuary
Within the chambers of your heart and home
Treating our situation like you: sexy and grown
But I danced too slow, now, I gotta leave it alone

The road to your heart was a two-lane highway
No doubt, I had the keys and toll for the bridge
But he had the need for speed, a true provider
And for that, I thank him for being there for you
Making you experience joys you've never known
With him in the main spot, I gotta leave it alone

Now, you're experiencing love that's not my own
The cut of his jib and the scent of his cologne
You're loving every side of him that you're shown
He's the number 1 priority caller on your phone
Loving your children dearly as if they were his own
Picking up on something I felt I had to postpone
Your happiness is the key, this much is known
It's because of this that I see I gotta leave it alone
